Adventure Pack
Bear and Ruffers were eager to get to the shade on our way up Chautauqua Trail today. Once there, the whole pack was thirsty for some water from the CamelBak. Tozai still had the energy to run around Bear once we were up the mountain, and Bear wrestled with him a bit. Nelly sniffed in the grass at the edge of the trail and nibbled at it a bit. Ruffers did a great job keeping up, though she did insist on some backtracking to check out scents we had passed, especially early on when we were walking Baseline Trail and by the parking lot.
Variety Pack
Lumi was very interested in Boulder Creek this afternoon as we walked the path beside it. He wanted to get into the creek and into the Kids' Fishing Pond, but we stayed dry for today. Carl, Alfie, and Griff were more interested in exploring the brush rather than going to the water. There were no geese to hiss at us by the pond today, but we did come close by some ducks at the edge of the creek. I thought Lumi was going for them until I realized he was just interested in the water itself. The others stayed in formation at my sides, although whenever we paused for a moment Carl took the opportunity to lift his leg and leave a scent mark.
