Adventure Pack

Ruffers and Bear were not that eager to head up the trail from the trail head today. After hanging out and inching along for a bit, we eventually got into a steady pace. Everybody was happy to take a break in the stream for a few minutes before heading up to the mesa. When Tozai went off leash, he turned and stared at Bear, poised to start chasing. When he realized Bear was staying on leash and it was Lucy who was let off with him, he quickly turned his attention to her, and the two of them bounded around together. Tozai started throwing himself into Lucy a bit too recklessly, so I interrupted his advances. He settled down after that, and the two of them explored together more calmly after that. Bear and Ruffers enjoyed taking their time as they brought up the rear during their turn off leash. Everybody took advantage of the stream again on our way back down.

Variety Pack

Eben G. Fine Park was far emptier than usual, as storm clouds loomed overhead. Dylan, Griff, Alfie, and Lumi took their time sniffing around the first couple trees that the packs often check out. After that, we kept on the move pretty steadily. The cool breeze from the incoming storm felt nice, and old-timer Dylan had no trouble keeping up a moderate pace. Lightning and thunder started moving in, growing gradually closer, so we turned around and headed pack to the packmobile a bit early. It started really pouring down along with some gusty wind, as we headed for our first drop-off, so it was good timing.

Bonus Pack

After the storm passed, Yoshi, Nelly, Lucy, and Milo went for an evening stroll around Wonderland Lake. The ground was damp and there were occasional, small puddles to dodge. Rabbits were plentiful. Nelly, Yoshi, and Lucy were keenly aware. Yoshi and Lucy were the only ones who really pulled, but they made up for their numbers with their effort. They also took an interest in the squirrels we passed, though they were far less abundant. Meanwhile, Milo trotted in place a step behind Lucy and didn't overreact to any of the fauna we encountered, despite every indication from his packmates that it was something to get very excited about.
