Adventure Pack
Lucy and Tozai had a blast racing around the trails today. Every so often, when she wanted to catch her breath, Lucy would come seek haven at home base among the pack. Tozai waited until she was ready to go again and then gave pursuit as soon as she bolted. Ruffers and Bear spent their off-leash time in a much more leisurely manner. They mostly kept each other company while sniffing along the edges of the trail. Bear ventured off the trail on his own at one point, in pursuit of some scent, but then stuck close to Ruffers again once he returned. Lucy caught sight of a squirrel who ran up a tree, on our way back down the mountain, and then she was on high alert looking for more the rest of the way back.
Variety Pack
Lumi, Alfie, Ruffers, Carl, and Griff strolled Goose Creek Greenway this afternoon. The prairie dogs were busy rushing around and chirping away at us as we passed through their neighborhood. The dogs didn't react at all on the way out, but Lumi and Alfie became very interested in them when we passed through again on the way back. Ruffers had plenty of energy to keep up despite going on the mountain hike earlier. Carl hurried to be the first to mark each spot where the pack pulled over to sniff around. Meanwhile, Alfie wanted to keep kicking up as much dirt as possible; surprisingly, Griff did not join him in that endeavor.
