Adventure Pack

Bear, Nelly, Tozai, and Ruffers headed across the Chautauqua Meadow to Gregory Canyon, where they hiked the lower part of the trail. Everybody took their time poking along, sniffing and marking here and there the whole way. The pack politely pulled over to the side to let other dogs pass on narrow stretches of the trail. Everybody took some water from the CamelBak. Some clouds came out and shaded us, which made for a pleasant return trip through the meadow.

Variety Pack

Alfie, Yoshi, and Lumi chewed on some bones at the house, before the walk. Yoshi complained to Alfie about the fact that Alfie was chewing on the bone he wanted, which was only the bone he wanted because Alfie was chewing on it. Lumi managed to chew his own bone in peace. Buddy and Carl hung out by Jen, and Griff just lounged. We then headed out to Bear Creek Greenway. There were some close calls as the boys all wanted to sniff and mark the same tree trunks at the same time, but I don't think anybody got tagged. Further into the walk, Carl made sure we pulled over to check out the boulders by the basketball courts. Buddy rolled around in the grass while the others took it easy in the shade for a couple minutes. We continued on, then pulled over so the dogs could sniff around another tree that seems to be becoming a favorite stop for Lumi, who was the one to insist on the stop today.
