Adventure Pack

Nelly, Bear, Tozai, and Lumi headed up Anemone Trail after taking their time to sniff around a lot by the trail head. The pack did a great job of politely stepping to the side to let other hikers pass by on narrow stretches of trail. Bear and Nelly weren't too eager to go up the mountain, so I had to keep circling back around behind them to nudge them along. Tozai and Lumi had no such hesitations about the ascent. Nelly somehow got her back, left leg stuck in a tangle of low-cut bush branches when she squatted to pee next to them and then she whined while trying to pull the leg free until I was able to extract it for her.

Variety Pack

There was a rain shower going on when the pack arrived at Martin Park, so we waited it out before setting out for the pack walk. Griff, Carl, Alfie, and Lumi all swarmed around tree trunks together, to give them thorough treatment. The boys all took turns with their marking and managed to avoid tagging each other. There was one tree with a squirrel in it that only Alfie noticed, and he made one leap up toward it, accompanied by a stern, "Woof!" His packmates were too focused on the scents around the base of the trunk to take notice of Alfie and his object of attention.
