Adventure Pack

Tozai, Ruffers, Bear, and Nelly headed to Gregory Canyon via the Chautauqua Meadow today. We took our time in the lower part of Gregory Canyon, where shade was ample. Unfortunately, the creek there has run dry. Nelly and Tozai happily took water from the CamelBak, while Ruffers and Bear waited until we made our way back to the trail head, where there is a bowl and a spigot. Like yesterday, Gregory Canyon was sparsely traveled; however, Chautauqua seemed pretty bustling. After making our way back from the canyon, we meandered through the grassy park at Chautauqua, shade-hopping from tree to tree. Tozai and Bear both took the opportunity to roll around in the grass. Ruffers and Nelly opted to remain upright.

Variety Pack

Sanni, Carl, Griff, and Alfie walked around Wonderland Lake this afternoon. It felt mild and comfortable when the sun was behind clouds, but it peeked out a few times and made it feel much hotter. The dogs followed the typical routine of making frequent stops to sniff and pee early on, and then going for longer and longer stretches without pit stops. Sanni went off-trail and trekked through the tall grass a couple times, while Alfie walked right at the edge of it. Griff and Carl stuck to the beaten path. It was a quiet and pleasant walk.
