Adventure Pack

Archie was back out with the pack today! He and Tozai had a blast wrestling each other as we made our way up Anemone Trail and continued their rowdy play through the descent as well. Bear was annoyed when they kept bumping into him while he was taking a load off in the shade. Nelly, on the other hand, danced around the edges of their tussle and poked her head in at them here and there. When they were on leash walking at my side, Archie kept trying to mount Tozai, and Tozai kept responding by shuffling him off and turning around to chew on him. We eventually figured out a configuration where Archie was less inclined to try to get at Tozai, which in turn meant Tozai was less inclined to get at Archie, so I kept them in that formation as consistently as I could.

Variety Pack

During our afternoon walk, Alfie was subject to the same attention Archie had given to Tozai. Alfie just kept walking and ignored Archie's attempts to mount him. Achie tried it once with Griff but Griff's stern rebuff was enough to discourage any further attempts. Carl was walking the furthest away in the formation and happily trotted along without getting any attention from Archie. With Alfie not responding to Archie's harassment, and me interrupting, Archie tried to mount Alfie less and less as the walk went on. That fixation aside, Archie did great walking in place without pulling on the leash along with the rest of the pack.
