Adventure Pack
At the beginning of our hike at Chautauqua today, Lucy and Lou got tagged by Yoshi and Tozai respectively when they moved in to sniff points of interest just as the boys had finished investigating and were lifting their legs to check off their work. Neither Lucy nor Lou was very happy about being sprayed down with water from the CamelBak afterwards; they reacted to that more than they did to the pee. Yoshi and Lucy roamed and explored together, then did a quick race back to the pack, then headed off to sniff in different directions from each other. Tozai got some practice in self-restraint as he walked at my side with Lou while the other youngsters were roaming.
Variety Pack
The dogs were all very interested in a big bush at the edge of the trail when we first set out from Valmont Park to Goose Creek Greenway. It was full of grippy little bell-shaped bits that really liked sticking to Ruffers and Lumi, so after the dogs were done sniffing the two of them had to endure me picking through their fur for a while and the others had to stand by in wait. With the sun out, Dylan was panting from pretty early in the walk. We kept a very easy pace, and he didn't need to make any stops aside from the usual ones to sniff around with the pack. Lumi and Ruffers were perfectly content with the walking pace. Alfie and Carl seemed a little impatient, as they kept pulling ahead.
