Friday Pack Activities (6/7/2024)
Adventure Pack
We saw our pack member Bear on a run with his dad after setting out along Baseline Trail this morning. Lou lay in the stream through Saddle Rock Trail in the same manner as she did with Arlo yesterday. Meanwhile, Sanni hovered around her and Yoshi and Lucy sniffed at some of the nearby foliage. After that stop, Sanni led the way up the mountain. Lucy pounced at some bugs, including a grasshopper who kept hopping back onto the trail a short distance ahead of us, teasing her as he kept just out of reach. On the way back down, Lou made the most of the stream again while Sanni waded around, shoveling her nose through the water. Yoshi and Lucy just got their feet wet.
Variety Pack
After a brief stint of intense wind gusts, the pack headed out for their walk along Bear Creek Greenway amidst what had settled down to a moderate and refreshing breeze. At the beginning of the walk, Lumi kept stopping and poking his nose over to the grassy strip beside the path. Yoshi, Alfie, and Carl were all quick to take any opportunity to veer off, sniff around, and leave their marks. Lumi would hang out for a moment and then move off the path to investigate further with his packmates. Ruffers waited on the path patiently while the boys did their thing. The breeze quieted down and the sun came out for the latter half of the walk, which made it feel much hotter. Regardless, the dogs were happy to keep up a steady pace throughout the return leg after a short water break.
