Adventure Pack

Tozai and Rey got right to wrestling when they went off leash together at Chautauqua today. At first, Rey was lingering behind me and the other pack members, and poking ahead for brief engagements with the awaiting Tozai. Tozai would immediately go at her full steam, and then she would back up behind the rest of us again. When Tozai moved in toward her, Bear would get in his way and wrestle him. Eventually, Tozai started giving Rey a little more leeway when she ventured out toward him, and that drew her into playing more. Ruffers took no part in the rough-housing of her packmates. She munched on some snow here and there. When Ruffers and Bear spent the latter part of the hike off leash, Ruffers was better about keeping up than Bear, who kept getting distracted by smells and ignoring me when I called for him to catch up.

Variety Pack

Lou, Carl, Scarlett, Dylan, and Alfie walked Bear Creek Greenway this afternoon. Scarlett was a little intimidated by all the pack members when I picked her up, so she rode in the front seat of the packmobile. The whole pack did some sniffing of the snowbanks along the edge of the path through Martin Park. After that, we kept a steady pace and Dylan had no trouble keeping up. Scarlett and Lou trotted at Dylan's sides, while Carl and Alfie took my other flank. Carl and Alfie kicked up some turf by the trail marker boulder then everybody did a good job of posing for a pack photo, aside from the fact that Alfie wouldn't look at the camera.
