Adventure Pack

We didn't see any bear droppings on our hike at Gregory Canyon today, but I'm sure they are still hanging around the area. Meanwhile, our pack's own Bear saved his droppings until the very end of the hike, after we had already made a stop at the compost receptacle. Before that, he enjoyed rolling around in the grassy park while Tozai leapt around him. Tozai tried to be playful with Rey on our way down from Gregory Canyon, but Rey didn't reciprocate his attention. Ruffers did a good job keeping up. I noticed she was following my steps pretty closely, so I made especially sure to find the easiest, most stable footing rather than going on steeper rock faces.

Variety Pack

A lot of people admired the pack as we made our way along Boulder Creek Path today. Alfie, Lucy, and Lou walked at one flank while Lumi, Carl, and Nelly took the other, and everybody kept in pretty good formation. Lumi and Nelly were our primary sniff initiators today. Lumi wanted to make stops along the creek, while Nelly wanted to take time to investigate Eben G. Fine Park. Alfie, Carl, and Lou all pulled over to check things out with them. Lucy was on alert for squirrels, and didn't let the curiosities of her packmates distract her very much from that mission.
