Adventure Pack

Rey was even more adamant about stopping and sniffing on our way up Chautauqua Trail than Racer was today. Griff took some water from the CamelBak even though it wasn't particularly hot. Rey also had a drink; Arlo and Racer took as much as I would offer. Racer got some pets from our OSMP volunteer friend Reid and leaned into his leg to show her appreciation. The rest of the pack was occupied at the watering hole after Racer took her turn at it first.

Variety Pack

Nelly, Lucy, and Yoshi are used to coming out on mountain hikes where there are no prairie dogs around, so the three of them were all super interested in the field full of chirping, busting rodents that we walked by on Goose Creek Greenway this afternoon. Nelly whimpered and whined about them, while Yoshi and Lucy pulled at their leashes. Seeing how excited his packmates were, Tozai also decided the prairie dogs were worth paying attention to. Meanwhile, Ruffers and Carl couldn't have cared less. Once we were past the prairie dog village, the pack settled down and everyone did a great job walking in formation together. Excitement levels raised when we passed the field of prairie dogs again on our return, but not to quite the level they were at on the way out.
