Adventure Pack
Racer, Rey, Arlo, and Griff hiked around the Red Rocks Spur trails. Rey and Griff led the way up the mountain, dipping off into the tall grass to poke around here and there along the way. Arlo wanted to linger in Silver Lake Ditch during our stops there, as usual. We passed by some volunteer workers who have been grooming a trail in the area. The pack trotted along without stopping, and Rey had a big smile plastered on her face. After coming down from the mountain, we headed over to Eben G. Fine Park, where the dogs took a dip in Boulder Creek.
Variety Pack
Dylan, Tozai, Carl, and Alfie headed to Boulder Creek Path for their afternoon stroll. Dylan and Tozai got right into the creek at Eben G. Fine Park, in the same spot where the Adventure Pack went in earlier. Dylan lay down for a minute, while Tozai did some bows in the water. Carl and Alfie stuck to the steps and boulders at the water's edge. A moderate, stormy wind kicked up for the last stretch of our walk, which was nice and refreshing. It struck me how much cooler this summer has been, compared to last year when the high rarely dipped below 85 F for three months, and was usually in the 90's F.
