Adventure Pack
As soon as we set out from the Eben G. Fine parking lot, a group of people stopped to gawk adoringly at the pack. They asked if they could pet the dogs, and as I was telling them that I wasn't sure whether they'd all like to be approached, Rey went over to the nearest person to solicit head scratches. Everyone else followed suit. Even Griff accepted some attention, without stepping back and grumbling the way he usually does when strangers come up to us. Arlo was especially happy to be loved on, as he tossed his head around and leaned into the pets. We headed up the Red Rocks Trails from there. Rey was in and out of Silver Lake Ditch pretty quickly on both of our stops, while the others all lingered in the water until I decided it was time to move along.
Variety Pack
Tozai, Lumi, Imogene, Carl, and Alfie headed to Goose Creek Greenway for their afternoon stroll. The prairie dogs were out and about today. Lumi and Alfie were both very attentive to them, but neither tried to make a move. Tozai and Carl also eyed them, but not with the same intensity. Imogene was bringing up the rear, so I didn't see where her eyes were, but she didn't seem to be paying attention to the critters. Lumi headed straight for the grassy hill he likes, as we rounded the bend of the path in front of it. When it came to sniffing, everyone was on the same page as they all grouped around the same spots together.
