Adventure Pack

Racer, Rey, Arlo, and Griff headed to Gregory Canyon via Chautauqua Meadow again today. There is definitely bear activity in the area. We passed a pile of bear scat on Meadow Trail, that wasn't there yesterday. The dogs stayed on leash. After meandering our way across the meadow, we kept a steady pace up lower Gregory Canyon, then camped out for a few minutes in the shade. We then made our way back down, through the meadow, and through the grassy park at Chautauqua. Several passing hikers admired how sweet and well-mannered the pack was.

Variety Pack

Yoshi and Tozai wrestled around at the house again, before heading out for the pack walk along with Carl and Alfie. The pack headed to Goose Creek Greenway, where the prairie dogs were out and about. Yoshi and Tozai keyed in on them early on, but didn't make any moves to try to chase them. We kept up a steady pace out and back, with just a few brief pit stops. Tozai's leg got tagged by Yoshi when everyone was sniffing and marking the same patch of brush, and I rinsed him off with water from the CamelBak. Alfie jumped at a prairie dog on the way back. Carl just trotted along with the pack. Over these past couple years, he has been getting better and better about walking on pace with the pack and not pulling, to the point where I almost forget that he used to tend to do that.
