Adventure Pack

Arlo, Imogene, Racer, and Griff hiked up Woods Quarry Trail. Racer let us go up Bluebell Road without quite so many stops today. Arlo seemed fixated on something in the distance just as we were making our way up the Woods Quarry branch. I couldn't figure out what he was looking at. None of his packmates - not even Griff, who is usually a vigilant scout - seemed to pick up on whatever had caused his alert. On the way down, Imogene became interested in some smell well off the trail and didn't listen very well when I called her back. She eventually rejoined us at the trail, and then everyone got a round of treats.

Variety Pack

Lucy, Nelly, Dylan, Ruffers, Tozai, and Carl walked Goose Creek Greenway from Valmont Park this afternoon. It was a bit windy, but the air on the wind was warm. Tozai and Nelly were a little too interested in the goose poop that littered one stretch of the path. I tried to hurry the pack past the droppings, but Nelly definitely snatched one. Carl usually leads the pack, but he was content to stay at Ruffers' side instead, bringing up the rear with her and Dylan. Even without Lumi in the pack today, Dylan, Lucy, and Nelly all pulled over to the same grassy hill to sniff around. We saw a couple herons fly by, and then Lucy fixated on a pair of geese in the water nearby. She and Nelly also became very interested in the prairie dogs, who were quiet on our way out but chirped at us from their dens on the return leg of the walk.
