Adventure Pack
Tozai and Lucy roamed Gregory Canyon, looking for trouble to get into. One moment of rebellious independence for Lucy was to make her way through the brush underneath the long footbridge rather than taking the bridge itself with the rest of us. Tozai was ready and waiting to pounce on her as soon as she found her way back up to meet the rest of the pack. Ruffers and Bear kept each other close company through Chautauqua Meadow on our return. The overcast weather made it comfortable for our two most heat-sensitive dogs currently in the pack, so there wasn't any shade hunting - they just ambled their way through the field and along the trail, sniffing here and there together as they went.
Variety Pack
Carl, Nelly, Lucy, Tozai, Griff, and Lumi went for a pleasant stroll along Goose Creek Greenway this afternoon. Nelly was actually the most interested in the prairie dogs today. She whined and pulled towards them while the rest of the pack took their presence in stride - even Lucy! Griff was the one who led the charge to the grassy knoll where the pack often stops for a photo, while Lumi forewent the opportunity to stretch out on the grass. Everyone was switching up their routines today! Well, that's not entirely true. Whenever the pack stopped to check out a scent beside the path, Carl did his best to mingle and weave his way amongst everyone so as to get leashes as tangled as possible, which is pretty typical fare for him. And Tozai was a good walker who kept in formation beside his packmates, which is mostly his usual way.
