Adventure Pack
The pack weaved through the Red Rocks Spurs today. Tozai and Bear wrestled around a bit while they were off leash together. We skipped Silver Lake Ditch on our way up because the bank by the footbridge was occupied by a family with young kids. It was cloudy and cool enough that the dogs weren't really in need of getting wet anyway. After looping our way around the mountain, we stopped at the ditch on our way back down. Griff, Bear, and Tozai all got in; Nelly predictably opted to stay dry. Bear wanted to linger for as long as he could. After that, we finished our descent and then roamed over toward Eben G. Fine Park and headed west a short way up Boulder Creek Path.
Variety Pack
The cooler weather made for a great opportunity for our pack elder, Dylan, to join today. He was so pleased to see his buddies that he didn't grumble at all when he hopped into the packmobile. He headed to Bear Creek Greenway with Buddy, Alfie, Carl, Lumi, and Griff. It was very quiet along the path today, as we only encountered a few bicyclists and had no notable wildlife sightings. Everyone sniffed and marked around the boulders by the basketball courts. Buddy enjoyed torpedoing across the freshly mowed grass after the pack photo. On the return leg, Lumi and Alfie veered off the path to walk through the grass together for a short stretch, instead of staying on the paved walkway with the rest of us. There had been a bit of thunder at the beginning of our walk, accompanied by the faintest sprinkle, but we kept dry after that.
