Adventure Pack

Tozai, Lumi, Ruffers, Bear, and Lucy poked along Boulder Creek Path today, escaping the heat with some long stops at the water. Ruffers and Lucy only stepped in up to about elbow-height with their front paws. Tozai, Lumi, and Bear all waded around for a while. There was a stretch of path that was heavily littered with goose droppings near the kids' fishing pond. Lucy and Lumi both perked up at the sight of squirrels here and there along the way. Everybody was way too interested and wanted to stop, but I hurried them past. Otherwise, we took an easy pace and lingered in the shade along the way. Everybody was eager to sniff at the first tree we encountered upon entering Eben G. Fine Park on our return.

Variety Pack

Buddy, Carl, Alfie, Griff, Tozai, and Lumi headed to Boulder Creek Path for the afternoon walk as well, since it's the best spot around for shade and flowing, algae-free water. Griff, Lumi, and Tozai were the only ones to get into the creek on our first stop, but the rest of the pack joined them in taking a dip on our second stop. The latter part of the walk saw a bit of cloud cover, which helped us keep cooler. When we made it back to Eben G. Fine Park, the pack was equally eager to sniff the same tree as the Adventure Pack did earlier.
