Adventure Pack Carl joined Bear, Rey, and Tozai for our hike up the Red Rocks Trail from The Peoples' Crossing today. The pack was in and out of Silver Lake Ditch pretty quickly, But Carl and Bear made another stop there a little further along the trail. There is some construction going on for utility lines through the area, but they let us pass through while I had the pack on leash. We continued through Eben G. Adventure Pack Arlo got spooked by something when we first set out, so we spent a long while hanging out at the trail head at The Peoples' Crossing while he gradually settled down. I didn't hear fireworks, but maybe there were some in the distance that I didn't notice. After we eventually got moving, the pack enjoyed a break to cool off in Silver Lake Ditch. No snakes around today for Racer to knock into the water. Arlo wanted to stay submerged for as long as possible. Griff

Adventure Pack Nelly stepped down into the water at Silver Lake Ditch with both paws to take a quick drink while Ruffers was still on the bank behind her, and Tozai and Bear were splashing around a little further upstream. The boys had fun chasing each other up and down the various stretches of Red Rocks Trail. Ruffers poked along a bit more slowly today and lingered in the shaded spots. She hung out for a short while at a nice vantage point, to survey the city that is hers.
