Wednesday Pack Activities
Adventure Pack
Mamacita was feeling much better today. Instead pausing to eat grass and vomit, she just wanted to wiggle in the grass. Dylan tested out both the grass and the snow. I think he preferred the snow, because he spent a lot longer wiggling and rolling around in it. He and Ruffers roamed Enchanted Mesa together, not venturing too far from me, Sputnik, and Mamacita. As we started making our way back along the Kohler Mesa Trail, there was a stretch that must have been traveled by a very interesting specimen, because everyone's noses shot to the ground. Dylan started trotting ahead with a purpose. Mamacita's ears perked up into full handlebar mode. Ruffers lingered behind, closely examining the trail. Sputnik kept halting and dropping his nose down to sniff furiously. Whatever the source of the excitement was, it was far enough gone that nobody bolted off to find it.
Variety Pack
Poppy, Roger Roger, and Zoey had a lot of fun chasing tennis balls and greeting other pups at the Valmont Dog Park this afternoon. Roger Roger was the most diligent fetcher. Poppy snagged a few balls out from under his nose. Zoey was in her habit of holding onto her ball, and only let me pick it up to throw it every once in a while. Poppy played rabbit a couple times, with Roger Roger and Zoey both pursuing her. There was another time she tried to get a chase going, but her packmates were more interested in sniffing around the old tree stump, so she just ran by me a few times with an excited grin on her face.
