Adventure Pack

Racer and Sputnik enjoyed their last pack hike for the next few weeks. They sniffed around the same spots together. Some stretches of trail were snowy, others were dry; both apparently had things to offer for the olfactory-oriented. Sputnik got a bit nervous about a couple of the dogs we passed, but didn't react beyond picking up his pace and giving a wary eye. Racer saw no reason to rush, and trotted along at my side without any disturbance.

Variety Pack

Blu, Avo, and Nala had a fun time walking at Wonderland Lake this afternoon. Avo and Blu broke out into some playful bowing, leaping, and dodging in the grassy park when we stopped for a few minutes. Just before the walk, Blu and Nala had a blast wrestling around with each other at the house while I grabbed a quick bite for lunch. At one point, Avo exchanged a few words with a dog on the other side of a fence. She also had a few things to say about rumbling trucks and one bus that passed by. And then she felt the need to comment on just about every other dog we saw during the walk. Nala went some good stretches staying on pace with the pack. She also went some stretches where she wanted to go everywhere but where we were going. But by the end of the walk, everyone was sticking together pretty well and there weren't as many distractions during the last stretch, so we had a very pleasant time.
