Adventure Pack

I wasn't sure we would make it to the vantage point, given the pack's leisurely pace at the outset of the hike. We made a steady ascent after that, however, and made it all the way up. After some panting and some drinking of water, we made our way back. We passed a deer who was hiding in a ditch not 10 yards from the trail through the Chautauqua Meadow, and it gave all of us a startle when it hopped to life at our passing. It went up the opposite bank and stared at us until we moved on.

Variety Pack

Mamacita was all about wiggling in the grass today. She made several stops for no other reason but that. At first, Riley jumped all around her with shared enthusiasm. However, by Mamacita's third go at it, Riley just stood by me and waited for Mamacita to finish doing her thing.
