Adventure Pack

The pack headed to the Chautauqua in the cooler weather today. The small creek that runs along the Saddle Rock Trail was almost all dried up, but there was still shade throughout the area. Sputnik and Avo were quick to take water from the CamelBak. Ruffers and Dylan were a little unsure, but eventually took a drink as well. We saw a couple other dogs along the way, and the pack calmly came over to the side of the trail with me, to let them pass. It was a big contrast with earlier, when they all barked at a couple dogs that walked by the car just after we parked near the trail head.

Variety Pack

Rey, Zoey, and Poppy enjoyed a bit of time off-leash at CU South this afternoon. Poppy and Rey chased each other up and down the trail, while Zoey wandered around wherever her nose led. At one point, Rey and Poppy slipped off the trail through some dense brush and then spent about a minute ignoring my calls to come back. I'm not sure what had kept their attention. They stayed on leash for the rest of the time after that.
