Adventure Pack

Riley and Sputnik headed to the Chautauqua this morning. We started up the Saddle Rock Trail, but the dogs both started to seem a bit unsettled. After the pack's unease around a similar point along the trail last Friday, I might have been making something out of nothing; but I decided to head back and go up a different trail again. I am thinking that we'll just skip Saddle Rock for now, to avoid the chance of any unpleasant potential encounters with wildlife there.

Variety Pack

Rey and Zoey wanted to sniff their ways all around the park at the beginning of our walk along the Bear Creek Path this afternoon. Lou poked around a bit, but did not have her nose glued to the grass the way her packmates did. After a pretty thorough investigation of the area, we got moving along the path. We saw several skateboarders during our walk. Lou and Zoey didn't care about them. Rey was alert as they went by, but didn't bark or jump toward them like she has sometimes in the recent past. Some storm clouds hovered nearby, but never materialized over us, so we enjoyed a very pleasant walk.
