Monday Pack Activities (12/9/2024)
Adventure Pack
Bear and Ruffers took their time lingering behind as they roamed the trails together. They came upon a calm, friendly dog who sniffed greetings with them on the way up the mountain. The Chautauqua Trail was extremely icy. The Mesa Trail was much less icy than I had anticipated, so we will be taking a more direct route there - up Bluebell Road - for the rest of the month, so as to take advantage of the less-treacherous terrain.
Variety Pack
Alfie was back with the pack after a vacation hiatus. He was as happy as ever to climb into the packmobile and see his packmates after giving me a very warm greeting. Dylan didn't grumble at Teo or Alfie at all when loading into the packmobile this afternoon. They all headed to Bear Creek Greenway along with Lou and Carl for the pack walk. Teo whined effusively at the start of the walk, making sure that there was no question about his excitement. While Teo was going through his feelings, Alfie, Carl and Dylan were all preoccupied with sniffing and marking the nearest tree trunk. Lou was in a go-along mood today, and forewent her common routine of making hard stops on the way through Martin Park. Teo seemed to remember his walking lesson from Friday, and was a bit easier to manage once he calmed down.
