Adventure Pack

Milo and Griff orbited Racer, Carl and me as we hiked the Mesa Trail today. Carl and Racer were pulling on their leashes a lot today, so I made a point to have repeated check-ins where I stopped and had them walk back over to me to let their leashes loose again. Carl improved pretty quickly. Racer took a while longer to settle into more orderly walking because she was drawn by her nose to the alluring scents in the brush, which had her full attention.

Variety Pack

Milo and Petie wandered the Valmont Dog park, making acquaintances with all the dogs there. Milo also approached some of the people for pets; Petie stuck to canine companions. I tried to get them interested in a big, hard-plastic ball that has been at the park for some time. Alas, they were more interested in sniffing around and ignoring me. They both found play partners for brief encounters here and there, including a Boxer, and Golden Retriever puppy, and another German Shepherd. There were several others as well, of breeds that were harder to determine.
