Adventure Pack

Racer, Arlo, and Griff headed to Chautauqua today for their hike. overcast skies and cool air made for a very pleasant mountain outing. Arlo seemed a little nervous at one point and didn't want to keep walking - perhaps expecting a thunderstorm to break out - but no rain fell and no lightning struck, and the clouds were breaking up by the end of the hike. Griff, Racer, and Arlo all did a fair bit of sniffing along Baseline Trail, but they weren't quite as obsessed with the scents there as yesterday's Adventure Pack members were. Racer got a lot of love from an OSMP volunteer friend at the trail head. The cows were in the area again, but they were further up the mountain instead of right at the trail head today.

Variety Pack

A friendly Jack Russell Terrier greeted Tozai and Carl when they first entered the park, and he followed Carl around for a bit while Carl searched for a tennis ball. Once Carl got to fetching, the Jack Russell went his own way. Tozai saw the pair of Bernese Mountain Dogs he recently befriended and had fun wrestling around with them. He made a few other friends as well. Another dog watched Carl playing fetch and sometimes ran partway with him, but never fully committed to racing Carl for the ball.
