Adventure Pack

Rucksack and Roger Roger got covered in snowballs as we hiked through the snow at Shanahan Ridge this morning. The snow was super powdery, and there was one stretch of the trail that was ice-slick beneath the surface layer of powder. The pack obliged me and took a slow pace through that section. Shortly after that, we came across a few dogs with a pair of joggers. We headed to the side of the trail and they passed on by. Not longer after, they were making their way back and came up from behind us. Sputnik kept turning around to check on their progress. He almost kept a pleasant demeanor along with his packmates, but then started to growl when one of the dogs lingered behind to try to say hello to the pack. Mamacita was a calm and steady hiker throughout.

Variety Pack

Zoey, Zoe, and Mamacita walked around Wonderland Lake together this afternoon. Zoey has a new, short haircut so the snow didn't really stick to her legs like it did to the Doodle brothers this morning; however, little Zoe's long fur caught some snowballs along the way. Mamacita - who was pretty mellow during the hike this morning - was feeling a bit more playful this afternoon, and she demonstrated that by exercising her rear-and-hop move repeatedly. Little Zoe raced along at her side, watching Mamacita with keen interest and sniffing at her face each time she caught up to Mama's hop.
