Wednesday Pack Activities

Adventure Pack

Mamacita, Curie, Rucksack, Sputnik, and Sanaya headed to the CU South trails this morning. Rucksack seemed to be feeling better and trotted along with his packmates, without any signs of discomfort. In fact, he was raring to go and kept getting ahead of the pack, then looking impatient whenever the others wanted to stop. With her short snout, Curie was feeling the heat and paused in the shade for a couple breaks along the way, even though we had pretty good cloud cover for most of the time we were out. Sputnik wanted to leave a lot of scent marks along the side of the trail today. Mamacita and Sanaya walked along very nicely throughout, going with the flow.

Variety Pack

We had a new member join the pack today - Dylan! Dylan is a sweet boy who was a bit nervous to be in the car with all of his new packmates. They had all greeted each other nicely outside the car, and then I had them hop in together. Dylan climbed up into the driver's seat and then hopped over to the front passenger's seat when I got in. We headed to the Bear Creek Path for our walk, and Rey - always happy to make friends - walked alongside our new addition. It didn't take much time walking for Dylan to loosen up, and I noticed him give Rey an affectionate nose-nudge at one point. A little while into the walk, he temporarily switched to my other side and inserted himself into a Doodle sandwich, between Zoey and Roger Roger. Isaac, Zoey, and Roger Roger all took turns wiggling around in a grassy field that we stopped at along the way. Rey hovered over them, watching with interest. Dylan sat in the grass, keeping a bit of distance from the wiggly commotion. Although he was getting more comfortable, he wasn't ready to participate in that level of abandon with his new packmates. However, on the ride home, he hopped right into the back of the packmobile with them, and was comfortable enough to hang out there. It was fun having him join the pack
