Friday Pack Activities
Dylan and Lou both lay in the creek at Gregory Canyon to get a good soak and keep cool. Sputnik just hung out, getting his paws wet. He did a better job navigating the ascent today, and didn't have any real trouble spots. We came by one friendly dog whom Dylan greeted first. Sputnik stayed at my side while Lou and the other dog proceeded to get thorough sniffs at each other's necks.
One of the geese chased behind us with its head down, hissing, after we passed by the families at the Kids' Fishing Pond. Rey and Carl had both been staring pretty intently at them as we walked by, so it's not that surprising that the goose reacted. We kept a little more distance on the return pass, and the geese weren't as on-edge about us, so I stopped to snap a photo. As is usual when we walk the Boulder Creek Path, Zoey wanted to make a lot of stops along the way. Carl was always quick to join her in sniffing around. We stopped at the water a couple times, but Sputnik and Rey weren't interested in getting in. Zoey and Carl seemed ready, but I thought their family might appreciate if I kept their fresh grooms intact for at least 24 hours.
