Monday Pack Activities

Adventure Pack

Ruffers, Avo, Riley, and Sputnik headed to the Mesa Trail at the Chautauqua this morning. We avoided our usual summertime pack destination of Settler's Park and Boulder Creek Path, since police were supposed to be sweeping through the Boulder Creek Path to remove the encampments there. It was pretty hot at the beginning of the hike as we made our way up Bluebell Road, but the creek was still running on the way up to the mesa. Between that and the shade, the dogs were able to keep fairly cool through the rest of the hike.

Variety Pack

Lou, Rey, Zoey, Carl, and Milo enjoyed a walk along the Bear Creek Greenway without any lightning strikes to spook the pack like on Friday. I got a little nervous when I felt some humidity in the air, but no thunderstorms materialized. Rey was in an exceptionally playful mood before the walk today. Carl and Zoey were happy to oblige her with some chasing and wrestling at the house. They settled down once we were out, and all walked nicely along with Lou and Milo. More than one passing walker commented on how similarly-toned all the dogs' coats were, and how well they matched my own outfit.
