Tuesday Pack Adventure

Adventure Pack

There were helicopters acting as transports between the red rocks formation and some point to the west, and one stretch of trail that we usual take was blocked off. Carl was concerned about the low, rhythmic sound of the choppers as they approached the mountain. He kept looking around for the source, and was running from point to point like he was trying to avoid getting sniped. Griff, Racer, and Sputnik were all unconcerned with the disturbance.

Variety Pack

Rey, Avo, Lou, Zoey, and Mamacita headed to the trails at CU South this afternoon. Unfortunately, dogs are no longer allowed off leash there, as indicated by signs at both trail entrances in the parking lot. Cloud cover came and went as we made our way around a loop on one side of the property. It felt fine when the sun was behind the clouds, but the dogs panted pretty heavily when the sun was out. Avo flopped down in the middle of the trail at one point, but promptly got up when I offered some water. Everyone partook in water breaks except for Mamacita, who dodged away when I tried to cradle her head so I could tuck the spout under her lip.
