Adventure Pack

Dylan and Ruffers took their time sniffing in the brush beside the trail at the outset of our hike at the Chautauqua. Once we got past the opening stretch of trail, Dylan took up his usual position at the lead, while Ruffers fell behind to sniff around more. Every now and then, I pulled over with Sputnik to check out a spot Dylan had scouted, and gave Ruffers time to catch back up with us. Dylan continued to lead the pack on our way up the rocky slope of the Flatirons Loop. On our way back down, he skipped over some switchbacks, preferring to take shortcuts down the steeper parts. Dylan and Ruffers greeted a friendly dog who then sniffed Sputnik without any negative reaction from him. Ruffers lingered behind with her new friend as long as she could before catching up with the rest of us.

Variety Pack

Mamacita took advantage of the grassy fields at Martin Park, by rolling around at several different points during the beginning of our walk. Imogene responded to Mamacita's displays by playfully leaping all around her until Mamacita popped back up. Zoey watched their play with me, and chose not to get involved. When Mamacita got up and shook off, Imogene continued to dodge around her. Mamacita made a few play-bows in response, but wasn't feeling limber enough to engage beyond that, and Imogene eventually settled down.
