Tuesday Pack Activities (11/4/2025)
Adventure Pack Imogene, Griff, Arlo, and Racer especially took their times walking through Chautauqua Meadow today. Each of them wanted to stop many times, and whenever one of the started sniffing, everybody else had to check out the area as well. Griff and Imogene didn't wander far when they went off leash. Racer became ravenous for grass at one point and pulled over several times to tear up what she could find, but then her stomach seemed to settle without vomiting. The pac

Friday Pack Activities (10/31/2025)
Adventure Pack Tozai and Yoshi had some fun chasing each other around on the trails today. Nelly was enjoying the action, and danced around in place a bit while watching the boys go at it. Yoshi, Tozai, and Lou all got some pets from a friendly hiker. Meanwhile, Nelly took the opportunity to try to munch on some grass while everyone was distracted. Chautauqua Trail had a steady stream of people on their way up the mountain as we were making our way back down, and several of t

Thursday Pack Activities (10/30/2025)
Adventure Pack Our trip through Chautauqua Meadow was a bit swifter today as the pack only stopped to sniff around every so often. Rey and Griff led by a short distance while they were off leash together, checking out points of interest ahead of Arlo and Racer. We didn't see any turkeys today, or any other wildlife. Hikers were not in short supply, though. Rey got some attention from our OSMP volunteer friend Reid while her packmates were busy drinking water at the trail head

Tuesday Pack Activities (10/28/2025)
Adventure Pack Racer was especially sniffy in Chautauqua Meadow this morning. The rest of the pack was happy to join her as she set a very pokey pace, making sure to check every inch in the grass beside the path. Arlo sniffed and marked a bit on his own, without taking direction from Griff all the time. Imogene got into a playful mood at the end of the hike and started poking at Racer. Racer made some dodges that seemed more out of annoyance than playfulness, so I had Imogene

Monday Pack Activities (10/27/2025)
Adventure Pack Bear stood his ground as Tozai jumped at him and tried to get him to play, and then they ended up wrestling a bit. Tozai also turned his attention to harassing Rey a bit while she was on leash with me and Ruffers, which I interrupted so he doesn't get in the habit of acting that way with dogs on a leash, as he is going through some more social development in his second year of being a dog. He seems to currently be going through a phase of testing how pushy and

Friday Pack Activities (10/24/2025)
Adventure Pack Yoshi ignored Tozai's first attempts to get him to play on the trails today. He just turned his head as Tozai poked and prodded at him. I interrupted Tozai and told him he had to invite Yoshi to play rather than trying to bully him into it. Yoshi was completely on the same page. Once Tozai respected his space a bit more and started making playful moves in front of him instead, Yoshi was happy to oblige, and the two of them enjoyed some chasing and wrestling. Ne

Thursday Pack Activities (10/23/2025)
Adventure Pack Racer, Rey, Arlo, and Griff again took their time sniffing through the Chautauqua meadow at the outset of today's hike. Griff and Rey stuck very close while they were off leash, remaining more or less in a tight pack formation most of the time. Everybody seemed extra slow and mellow today. Arlo enjoyed some pets and back scratches from our OSMP volunteer friend Reid, and Griff moved close enough to get a little pat on the head. Meanwhile, Racer and Rey were bus

Monday Pack Activities (10/20/2025)
Adventure Pack Tozai was very pushy with Rey when they first went off leash together. I interrupted him several times, because Rey was just standing in place awkwardly while he kept trying to harass her into interaction. Once Tozai got the idea and gave Rey a little space, she started sprinting around through the fields so Tozai could pursue. Bear spent his off-leash time leading the way more, rather than hanging back with Ruffers the whole time. I made a point not to get too

Friday Pack Activities (10/17/2025)
Adventure Pack Yoshi and Tozai groaned and whined while they chewed on each other in the back of the packmobile on the way to Chautauqua, while Nelly and Lou quietly awaited hike time. The boys settled down when we started hiking, but chased and wrestled vigorously once they were off leash. Nelly didn't get as worked up about her packmates' play today and let them do their thing without hopping around and trying to get in on it. Lou was lagging a bit on the way up the mountai

Thursday Pack Activities (10/16/2025)
Adventure Pack Arlo again followed Griff's lead about where to sniff and mark in the tall grass as we made our way across the Chautauqua meadow. Griff and Rey kept close during their off-leash time. Griff passed on taking a drink from the CamelBak; Arlo, Racer, and Rey were all thirsty. Racer lapped at the air while Rey had her turn, letting me know she still wanted more. Everyone (besides Griff) took a few rounds of water before they were satisfied. Variety Pack Viv was very
