    Monday Pack Activities

Adventure Pack Something tickled at Mamacita's olfactory senses on a slight delay, and she turned to back-track to the origin of the scent of interest. It was a tuft of grass just beside the trail, about ten feet back. Roger Roger, Sputnik, and Ruffers all circled around to assess Mamacita's find for themselves. There were a couple similar points along the way, where everyone congregated to sniff a spot simultaneously - each dog approaching the spot from their own quadrant

    Friday Pack Activities

Adventure Pack Mamacita was especially interested pulling off the trail to sniff in the brush today. Roger Roger and Dylan stuck close by throughout the hike. When Sputnik went off the leash, he and Dylan checked out spots to pee on together. We took a different route back to the trail head today, and Dylan was resistant about the change in course. I had him on leash at that juncture, and drew him along. He stopped resisting just a few paces in, after trying to veer back

Adventure Pack Roger Roger and Ruffers had fun chasing each other up and down the trail today. Their fun came to an end after Roger Roger wandered off the trail and rolled in some scat, then spent the remainder of the hike on leash so I could better control him and keep him from rubbing against his packmates. The CamelBak came in handy as I used it to spray most of the poo off him, but there was still some residue. Meanwhile, Sputnik and Mamacita were on the lookout for pa

    Friday Pack Activities

Adventure Pack Dylan and Roger Roger wiggled in the snow at the same spot Dylan did Wednesday. Mamacita and Sputnik ate a little bit of snow today, but not much. During the first half of our hike, Dylan and Roger Roger lingered behind to sniff around. During the second half, they scouted ahead. I called them back every so often when they started to get too far ahead. Most times, they came right back; however, Dylan decided to make a stubborn stand at one point and stood

    Thursday Pack Activities

Adventure Pack Racer and Mamacita joined Sputnik in munching snow as we hiked at Shanahan Ridge this morning. Griff did not partake, as he was busy sniffing and leaving scent marks. We saw a few other dogs on the trail, and the pack walked by with pleasant demeanors. Griff stopped to sniff in the wake of a Golden Retriever who didn't pause to say hello. Variety Pack Zoey, Poppy, Riley, Avo, and Milo were off to the races when we got to the Valmont Dog Park this afternoon.

    Wednesday Pack Activities

Adventure Pack Sputnik munched on snow from every remaining snow bank we passed today. While he chomped away at one patch, Dylan flopped down and started wiggling on his back. The snowy patch was on a slight incline, so Dylan gradually slid away as he writhed around. Ruffers and Mamacita causally sniffed around while their packmates enjoyed the snow. When Sputnik wasn't stopping to eat snow, he was sniffing and leaving scent marks. Dylan and Mamacita both checked out man

    Tuesday Pack Activities

Adventure Pack Sputnik was all about munching on snow again from the dwindling snow banks beside the trails at Shanahan Ridge. His packmates today - Yoda, Griff, and Racer - didn't care about eating snow, but they all did a lot of sniffing around while Sputnik chowed down. Variety Pack Poppy, Avo, Rey, and Milo did a lot of running at the Valmont Dog Park this afternoon. Rey ran with Avo. Then with Poppy. Poppy ran with Milo. Avo ran with Milo and Rey. There were a few

    Monday Pack Activities

Adventure Pack Ruffers, Roger Roger, Sputnik, and Poppy headed to Shanahan Ridge for their hike this morning. We didn't come across any other dogs today. Ruffers and Roger Roger entertained each other with chases, wrestling matches, and some keep-away over a branch that Roger Roger found. Poppy hopped around while watching her packmates run and dodge around. Sputnik was occupied with sniffing, peeing, and munching on snow. The rest of the pack nibbled at a little snow he

    Monday Pack Activities

Adventure Pack Roger Roger and Ruffers kept each other entertained throughout our hike at Shanahan Ridge this morning. Early on, Roger Roger chased Ruffers around. Later, Roger Roger found a choice stick and played keep-away while Ruffers chased after him. Mamacita and Sputnik were entertained watching their packmates. Everyone enjoyed munching on some snow here and there, but Sputnik indulged the most. Variety Pack Riley, Rey, and Zoey had a lot of fun running around at

    Friday Pack Activities

Adventure Pack Mamacita and Sputnik chomped on a lot of snow during our hike at Shanahan Ridge this morning. Dylan found several spots along the way where he felt compelled to wiggle around in the snow. Mamacita joined in the fun one time. Roger Roger was happy to give Dylan chase whenever Dylan got excited and ran along the trail for a spurt. Several dogs came over to greet the pack throughout our hike, and Sputnik was the calmest I've seen him in recent memory. Variety
